In the history, Splitska was mentioned for the first time as an export port for stone blocks used for construction of Diocletian Palace in Split, listed by the UNESCO as the World Heritage. Stone used for the construction of the palace was collected in quarries over the settlement – Plate, Rasohe and Stražišće. In Rasohe quarry can be found the relief of Hercules, mythological creature and the most famous of the Greek mythological heroes, protector of slaves. A 2 km thematic path Hercules which starts in Splitska seafront will bring you to the entrance of the quarry.
